Summer School in Philosophy of Chemistry!

It is not very often to have events- let alone summer schools- explicitly dedicated to the philosophy of chemistry!

This year the Society for the Metaphysics of Science (SMS) is making a difference by organising a 2-day summer school at Dalhousie on the 8th and 9th of August.

There will be four 3-hour workshops during which participants will have the opportunity to get in touch with topics in the philosophy of chemistry and philosophy of physics.

These workshops are lead by Heather Demarest (University of Colorado) who is a specialist in metaphysical issues around physics, and Robin Hendry (Durham University) who is a reknowned philosopher of chemistry with influential work on the reduction and emergence of chemistry.

Details on how to participate can be found here: https://socmetsci.org/2023-summer-school
